Originally from Whitby, I grew up surrounded by nature in all its majestic forms and was undoubtedly inspired by it throughout my work. I specialised at Wimbledon School of Art in Film and SFX, learning many technical skills working in wonderful diverse materials, moulding and casting in silicones and resins, entering a world of analytical sculpture. Following my studies, I travelled for a few years, working as a freelance sculptor in Australia and New Zealand, amongst visiting Japan, Iceland and Canada, plus more. Immersing myself in the culture of each country I lived in, I met many fascinating and inspiring people. My experiences have taught me many things about life, as I have consistently challenged myself in my ability to create art. I love being able to pass knowledge and skills onto my students and explore the creative process together.
